How do I create a household?
After signing in, tap Create Household on the welcome screen. Give your household a name, then share the invite code with the people you live with so they can join.
How do I invite someone to my household?
Go to Settings → Household → Members and tap the invite icon to share your household invite code. Anyone with the code can join from the app's sign-in screen.
How do I add a chore?
Tap the + button on the Home or Chores screen and fill in the chore details — name, frequency, duration, and who it's assigned to. You can also tap Quick Add from any screen for a faster flow.
How do I claim a chore (Dibs)?
Go to the Dibs tab and tap any unassigned chore to claim it. You can also assign chores to other household members if you are the admin.
Can I set recurring chores?
Yes. When creating or editing a chore, set the Frequency field to daily, weekly, or a custom interval. The chore will automatically appear on the schedule at the right cadence.
How do I turn on reminders?
Go to Settings → Reminders. You can enable chore-specific reminders, morning summaries (what's due today), and evening close-out summaries. Each can be toggled and timed independently.
I'm not receiving notifications. What should I check?
- Make sure notifications are enabled for Dibs in iOS Settings → Notifications → Dibs
- Check that reminders are turned on in Dibs → Settings → Reminders
- If using Do Not Disturb, Dibs notifications will be held until it's off
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Account & Security → Reset Password. We'll send a reset link to your registered email address.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@dibs.app with your request. We'll remove your account and associated data within 30 days.
